gratitude increases when one notices good
and calls attention to it.

i catch myself often calling attention to what i don’t like.
i catch myself more than i like to see, complaining.
i catch myself sometimes dwelling on what i don’t want more of. . .
its similar to the old fairy tale of The Three Wishes. the man is given three wishes that will come true, when he says them. ..
then, he loses the comprehension of what that means. he blows them away, stupidly, for lack of being awake.
he wishes something silly and it happens then. he wished bad on someone, then has to use the third one to unwish it.
its an unfortunate turn of events on what could have been auspicious, had he been conscious in the matter, not unlike how wasteful it is,
when i do the same, by missing chances to be thankful.
every time i am thankful, i attract more to be grateful for. . .
a never-ending parade of good news, benefits and circumstances. i have been given eyes to see and its my choice what to perceive.
