spring no matter what

it is spring no matter the appearances. Easter is over.
the crocuses are blooming and all the dirty yukky stuff
that was hiding under the snow is showing. the taxes are paid. people are feeling poor,
but we will all get off it, get over it
and be happy to contribute to the IRS and be grateful
we could pay vast sums of taxation, due to the government..
resentment can be replaced with gratitude to have earned money,
to be in business, to be able to afford to contribute to the government at al.
time to get out the abundance mantra and get into gear
with spring. the tulips have not been stopped. why should i think i need to slow down and mope a while?
i saw them out there, under the snow. then later, swaying in the high wind, during the winter storm
that came after spring started.
they stood tall and increased the darker tones of their
green leaves. they didn’t shrink down. they didn’t go backwards. they didn’t fall over in chaos, doubt or despair.
they stood tall and so can we.
