swat or not
sometimes i feel so up against it and stressed about dealing with crumpy, frangely,
unsettled, rigid, edgy and angular people. often times, i have to remember what Gilbert
Chesterton said, “love means to love that which is unlovable, or it is no virtue at all.”
the little insect circling my face, seems so aggravating, but i have the power and
transcendence to simply wave him away and let him live or
i can swat and end his little life, for merely the reason that he annoyed me. would i want to be killed for annoying someone?
no. so i won’t do it. i will forgive him and we will both go forward in our development.
often i forget that my life is about LEARNING TO LOVE BETTER and more.
it is not about having everything my way. it is not about being comfortable.
it is not about controlling the environment.
constantly, i must re-remember when people are difficult, it is this very difficulty
that teaches me to reach deeper to extend compassion more.
for this, i came to be present.
