wisdom of letting go
this Christmas, i notice i have gained the wisdom of letting go. . .
i have been able to back off, relax and let people have their own problems,
the ones they won’t re-language. the ones not available for linguistic surgery.
the folks who hate Christmas, can do that without my company. the folks committed to complaining, they can do it without my witness.
people who are not friends to silence, can make noises without me, at this time of year.
i like quiet, time to think, wondering, wandering, appreciating the beauty of pristine snow.
i love Christmas, and this year, i don’t have to enroll everyone else in it. especially if its not what’s wanted for them.
they can have ti their own way. i will have mine, my way.
i am grateful not to be working the enrollment desk, for holiday cheer, this year.
i finally figured out that since Christmas is how we live all year, there doesn’t have to be
a frenzy when everyone else gets into it.. just more fun. the more the merrier.
i am learning to let go and let God.
that’s the best holiday news ever.
this year is so much brighter because of it. i am grateful.
