if one believes they are not contributed to, there is no call to gratitude
it’s amazing enough to watch people that have so many others helping them, to have workable lives but all they see is
FOLKS BOTHERING THEM. they complain, roll their eyes and huff out the bad feelings of being cared for.
a shift of perspective always precedes significant progress.
the assumptions change. what was a bother becomes a blessing.
i remember a man who was in love with me.
he hung around trying to help me with all the things i was doing but i thought he had nothing better to do.
i thought he was looking for sexual favors.
i thought he was dumb and had no ambition.
i didn’t feel contributed to….
that wasn’t how i saw it until years later.
then i realized i was the dumb bunny.
it’s quite confrontative to remember this
but i was just like a lot of people are,
until i woke up and saw what a limited, perspective one has when everything is about you.
it’s quite painful in fact.
it took years to get to the place
where real contribution could be seen.
