disappointment
April 18, 2007
the question about how I created celebration in the past few months gives me a chance to acknowledge
how well the seeming mistake of booking us, in boston, for easter weekend worked out.
tI was a huge disappointment to look in my calendar and see what i did. after silently screaming to myself,
“what were you thinking?” and complaining to myself about myself for almost half a day, i set about making up,
“this can work out”. after booking our mini brunch at the Inn for 18 people, i just got with steve and confessed what a dumb move i made
by not looking carefully at where easter occurred when i made
the boston dates a year ahead… he agreed we could make it work
so that everything would work and everyone would be very happy with the results.
things got more complicated for our vermont brunch when
nashville noelle decided to be in boston too, for easter with antonio!
we said how sad ti was we would have to rush back for the celebration Sunday brunch but we made an egg coloring party in boston
to create celebration there too. sure enough painting a thousand billion eggs in the hotel suite proved more than amazing
people all over the city were boiling organic eggs for us, and in vermont too.. it was easier because altho i am born in autumn.
i am learning to ask for help. i got help – ti worked. everyone had fun, celebration and easter eggs!
there were fresh flowers, family get together, laughter, jelly beans and even a last minute serendipity visit to the blue bunny bookshop in boston
with our grandson antonio. we all found gorgeous new clothes, good books and good times galore.
